Windows 2000 and ME cannot be installed on modern powerful PCs in 2024 due to compatibility issues, resulting in a C2 error. Windows 98 and ME can run on modern computers with AMD processors, but Windows 2000 cannot due to missing drivers.

Windows 95, 98, and Me clients cannot read NTFS partitions directly. The ability to read file allocation tables other than the Microsoft FAT or FAT 32 was never built in.
